a day of breweries in Poulsbo, WA

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - the pacific northwest is filled with some of the best breweries around!

One of my favorite ways to spend a day is visiting breweries and exploring a pacific northwest town.

Poulsbo, WA in a small town in Kitsap County known as “Little Norway.” It has a super cute downtown area and a couple must visit spots for foodies and beer lovers.

On New Year’s Day 2021, we took a drive to Poulsbo and did a little brewery hopping. Here are the breweries we visited - I recommend all three of them!

Rainy Daze Brewing

I have been wanting to check this one out for A LONG TIME! I’ve seen their beers on tap for YEARS and never stopped by. This taproom is set up in a large garage-style building and looked like a local favorite for a hang out. Their outdoor area with tents and heaters and plenty of tables was great! They do not serve food but have different food trucks on different days of the week. Already looking forward to coming back!

Slippery Pig Brewery

Another one that I have wanted to check out for YEARS. I’m so glad that we finally made this one happen! The Slippery Pig bar has such a cool vibe and they have a wide variety of beers on tap as well as a full bar and full menu. We shared a grilled cheese and it was great. They have a full ‘Build Your Own’ menu for grilled cheeses and baked potatoes - LOVE THAT! I want to come back and try more food and more beer!

Western Red Brewing

I hadn’t heard of this one until we decided to come to Poulsbo and looked at all the breweries in town. WHAT A GEM! I had the most amazing dark beer here; I have been craving it since we left. The indoor space is warm and woodsy with decor that hints on their PNW logging theme. They have a couple snacks like sausage and pretzels but the beer was TOP NOTCH and we will be back.

Note - We are still adhering to Covid-19 restrictions in Washington state. The only ‘dine-in’ option had to be outdoors at this time!

If you’re more of a foodie than a beer lover, you also have to check out these spots while you are in Poulsbo!

There are a lot more spots that we still need to try! Poulsbo is a small town with a whole lot of charm and some great brews and eats!

Where should we go next? Comment your favorite place to explore for eats & drinks?
